My first experience of movement was at three years old; I put on my tiny ballet slippers and little skirt and stepped into a huge church hall...Now here I am thirty years later an ex professional dancer and teacher, Pilates Instructor and Yogini. My life has been dedicated to movement and discovering where the body can go, how it feels and what it can do.
"Humans are designed to move. I believe any movement is good for you, just do what feels good for your body".
A combination of movement styles is vital, we shouldn’t get caught up on one particular 'thing'. I’m very curious and enjoy new challenges which is why I’ve trained in various disciplines. My dance career lead to me becoming a Pilates instructor, and Pilates healed my injuries which enabled me to practise yoga in a smarter way. I’m on a continuous path of self-discovery with movement, meditation and life. In my opinion why choose one when you can have both?
I could write pages about myself, where I’m from and what I’ve done, my injuries, my issues, how I found yoga and blah blah blah but that’s totally boring (actually it was exactly how I started this blog then hit delete). This is about ME and YOU.
Ask yourself the following question…Do you want to improve your body, mind and spirit through holistic movement practises and be the best version of you? Movement has been part of my life ever since I can remember. I love that I can share my passion with people after years of experience. If you've come this far to reading my blog then let’s go all the way...
